I remember my grandmother carrying travel candles. The idea is you’ll always have the smells of home no matter where you are. See how to make your own travel candles at For the Makers.

Made some “moon jars”. (Taken with instagram)
1. Take apart a solar-powered garden light ($3 at Home Depot)
2. Hot glue the solar panel/battery to the lid of a jar ($5 at Michael’s)
3. Use a glass frosting spray ($5 at Home Depot) to coat the outside.
4. Put in a window to charge/enjoy your night light.

EDIT: They have even better solar lights to use for $3 right now at Target! The solar piece pops right off the top and is only about 2” wide.

Crystal Egg Geodes | Martha Stewart
Yep, that’s right, these pretty little gem coloured beauties are made from eggs! If you’re over painting eggs, this is a great crafty/science alternative. You will need alum powder and at least two days to grow your crystals, but how amazing is the finished product?!
